Purpose
Ben & Beyond is committed to preventing its services from being used for money laundering or financing illegal activities.
This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy outlines our standards and procedures to detect, prevent, and report suspicious financial activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and business partners of Ben & Beyond.
It covers all services provided by the company, including consulting, B2B partnerships, digital advertising, and client onboarding.
Definitions
Money Laundering: The process of concealing the origins of illegally obtained money.
Customer Due Diligence (CDD): Measures to identify and verify the identity of clients.
Suspicious Activity: Any transaction or behavior that raises concerns about criminal intent or misuse of services.
Risk-Based Approach
Ben & Beyond adopts a risk-based approach to AML compliance. Clients and projects will be assessed based on:
– Geographic location
– Type of industry or business
– Nature and size of the transaction
– Payment methods and funding sources.
Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
Prior to engaging with any client, Ben & Beyond will:
Collect identifying information (business license, tax ID, representative ID, etc.)
Verify business ownership and control structure
Understand the purpose and nature of the business relationship
Monitor ongoing activities for consistency with expected behavior
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) will be performed for higher-risk clients or jurisdictions.
Record Keeping
All AML-related records will be maintained for a minimum of five (5) years, including:
Client identification documents
Transaction records
Internal reports of suspicious activities
Suspicious Activity Reporting
Employees are required to immediately escalate any suspicious behavior or transaction to the Compliance Officer. Ben & Beyond will cooperate fully with law enforcement and financial regulatory authorities in reporting such activities.
Training
Regular AML training will be provided to all relevant staff to ensure awareness of:
Current AML regulations
Internal procedures for due diligence and reporting
How to identify red flags
Compliance Officer
Ben & Beyond designates an AML Compliance Officer responsible for:
Overseeing the implementation of this policy
Conducting internal audits and reviews
Ensuring staff training and regulatory compliance
